Our current client George Gross & Harry Who have given us the privelage of shooting their gorgeous evening wear. The final product will be our ghost mannequin technique, bringing out the best in all the gowns and clothing.

We've got 6 boxes of floor length, knee length, beaded, and laced dresses as well as boleros, shawls and tops & bottoms.

We're very excited about this current project and can't wait to show you all the final results.

In the mean time here are some behind the scenes snaps.

Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012

Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012 Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012 Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012 Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012

Paris Fashion Week has officially been launched and the Couture houses did not dissapoint.

Jean Paul Gaultier caused quite some controversy with a show dedicated and inspired by the late Amy Winehouse. The models sported Winehouse's signature beehive (in an array of colours), mole and scowl.

Karl Lagerfield did not disspoint with an extravagent life-size plane set as the catwalk. Lagerfield's Couture designs did not dissapoint either, with details so fine the second row probably would have missed them. Beading and multiple shades of blue ( apparently 154 shades to be precise) added dimension to the Pan Am inspired show.

Christian Dior's Spring/Summer show was different from past shows (John Galliano left in March 2011. Said to be straight from the 'mad-men' set, the wearable designs were designed with shades of black, deep purples, and reds.

Valentino displayed their usual sophisticated and romantic couture designs. Floaty taffeta was the fabric of choice, as were soft flowing florals, with gold and metallics chosen to end the show. Definately a spectacular end to Paris Haute Couture week.

aussieBum’s

aussieBum’s aussieBum’s

As your Mum would know, you can never have too many pairs of underwear! and we sure have a load!

Our aussieBum's shoot is coming along nicely, and we have a whole range of their products to shoot. From their signature underwear, to surfwear, sleep wear and casual wear.

Our e-commerce company is working on their product shoots for the aussieBum's online store. The ghost mannequin technique couldn't be any better for the aussieBum's products, it brings out the best of the product and allows you to see from all angles!

The shoot can already been seen on aussieBum's website with the Pockit Jockit. These new shots will be available soon, but for now, heres a sneak peek into what we have to shoot.

Design Identity’s First Stylish Blogger!

Design Identity’s First Stylish Blogger! Design Identity’s First Stylish Blogger!

We are excited to have our first Stylish Blogger on Design Identity.

The Glorious and ever so quirky Jess Tran has given us a little interview. Find out why she'd specialise in catwear and who her favourite aussie designers are. Enjoy!

Describe ‘Jess Loves Fred’ in 3 words

Mullet skirts and profanity.

Design and style are essential to DesignIdentity’s values. How do you incorporate your design and style values into your everyday life?

Particularly in the way I dress is the most obvious way that my design and style values weasel their way into my everyday life but I also try and apply it in a more abstract way in regards to the way I behave and hold myself. It may not show through my outfits, but I love being put-together and colour coordination and prints and all that - and VERY abstractedly, I try to be as positive as I can and act with integrity and grace (whatever sliver of grace I have).

If you could choose one thing to represent your style what would it be?

Probably a mullet. Party in the back, business up front. Or the discography of any band - just always evolving and changing.

What are your favourite Australian brands and fashion houses?

I'm seriosuly loving Suboo - all their printed dresses are incredible. The bird prints at Sass & Bide have held my heart captive for a long time now, and Karen Walker never does any wrong (even with her sunglasses and jewellery). Therese Rawthorne and Sara Phillips...yeah, can you tell I'm a bit of a sucker for prints?

If you were given the chance to design a label (clothing/food/etc.) what would you name it and why?

I'd design a clothing range for pets - specialising in catwear. I'd call it "Cashmere is a Cat's best friend" because I'd be making a whole lot of jumpers for all the cats out there shivering.

Online shopping – friend or foe? Why? (in particular what do you think of our ghost mannequin technique)

Friend. Free shipping, not having to get out of bed or be subject to the whines and calls of retail assistants? Yes please. You also get a wider range at the tip of your fingertips. Online shopping is a friend to me but a foe to my bank account. I think the ghost mannequin technique is amazing - primarily because I always thought mannequins were a little creepy. Eliminating them = yes please!

Do you have any new projects or exclusives you’d like to share with us?

I have a few here and there in the works but they're all to be kept hush hush for now! Hopefully I can share it with my readers soon.. x
